When people use you for your money, whether it’s a partner or someone in your professional life, you’ll always feel drained. No matter how much you give, it’s never enough. You’ll be blamed for everything you can’t provide. Enough is enough—walk away from those who take without giving.

At times, people confuse my self-respect with ego. When that happens, I’d rather walk away. Self-respect isn’t about proving superiority; it’s about honoring my worth and setting healthy boundaries. If others can’t see the difference, it’s not my problem. True self-respect doesn’t need validation—it speaks for itself. Sometimes, walking away is the best form of respect.

People used to ask me why I was friends with this guy. At the time, I didn’t have an answer, but now I see why. We weren’t together for any smart reason; he stood by me during the hardest times. True friendship doesn’t need to be explained. It reveals itself when you need it the most. Today, not only is he a friend, but we also run a business together. Honesty and loyalty are all you need—everything else falls into place.

Starting a business as a woman in a foreign country wasn’t easy. From facing cultural and gender barriers to dealing with language challenges, I had to prove myself time and time again.
